Biochemistry Co., Ltd. ("Pucheng Chia Tai") is a subsidiary of CPP, with the latter holding 69.5% of its shares.

Pucheng Chia Tai, located in Pucheng, Fujian province, was established in 1995. It has 500 employees including 300 professional technicians. Pucheng Chia Tai principally engages in the production and sales of feed-grade Chlortetracycline ("FG CTC") and Hydrochloride Chlortetracycline ("HCL CTC"). It owns two production lines which have annual production capacities of 16,000 tons for FG CTC and 1,500 tons for HCL CTC.

Used as a kind of feed additive, chlortetracycline ("CTC") serves as a type of broad-spectrum antibiotic which is effective against various types of bacteria, making it an antibiotic without compare. CTC is suitable for poultry, swine, sheep and cattle. Appropriate dosages at frequent intervals not only can prevent disease, but also increase the survival and growth rate of swine and poultry, the laying rate of poultry, as well as improving the overall feed efficiency. Compared to FG CTC, HCL CTC is more purified and is easier to differentiate when mixed with other medicine.

Pucheng Chia Tai markets its CTC products under the brand name "Shihao", which has been awarded the certification of Chinese Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMP") and European GMP for animal drugs. In addition, Pucheng Chia Tai has garnered much international recognition, such as certification from the US Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") and the Certificate Of Suitability ("COS") from the European Pharmacopoeia Commission. "Shihao" CTC products are mainly for exporting to countries like Europe, America and Southeast Asia.
