Company Ltd. (“CPP” or the “Company”) is an investment holding company established in Bermuda in 1987, and listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in 1988 under Stock Code 43. |
The Company is the investment arm of Charoen Pokphand Group in China. Known in China as “Chia Tai”, CPP and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) have been investing and working in China since the country first opened its doors to foreign investment in the late 1970s. Today, the Group is a leading, respected feed developer and provider and is renowned for developing new feed formulas and providing the finest quality animal feeds to farm operators across the country. It has established a significant presence in 26 provinces and municipalities in China and has more than 26,000 exclusive agents distributing its products nationwide.
The Group is also a producer of chlortetracycline. In addition, the Group is involved in the motorcycle and other industrial businesses. Its business structure is divided into feed business (core), and chlortetracycline and industrial businesses (other businesses).
Feed Business
- Comprised of 53 subsidiaries, four jointly-controlled entities, and one associate company;
- Our feed operations include the production and distribution of feed products for sale to livestock, poultry and aquaculture producers in China.

Chlortetracycline Business
- Comprised of two subsidiaries;
- Our chlortetracycline business includes the production of feed-grade chlortetracycline and hydrochloride chlortetracycline for sale to feed manufacturers and pharmaceutical firms in China and overseas.

Industrial Businesses
- Comprised of three jointly-controlled entities;
- Our industrial businesses include the production and sale of motorcycles, carburetors, automotive accessories, and Caterpillar sales, rentals and repair agency services.
