China

Known in China as “Chia Tai”, CPP and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) have been investing and working in China since the country first opened its doors to foreign investment in the late 1970s. Today, the Group is a leading, respected feed developer and provider, and is renowned for developing new feed formulas and providing the finest quality animal feeds to farm operators across the country. It has established a significant presence in 28 provinces and municipalities in China, and has around 20,000 exclusive agents distributing its products nationwide.

The Group is also a producer of chlortetracycline and is involved in motorcycle and industrial businesses. These businesses are grouped together under “Other Businesses”.

Feed Business
  • Comprises 78 feedmills;
  • Includes the production and distribution of feed products for sale to livestock, poultry and aquaculture producers in China.
Other Businesses
  • Chlortetracycline: comprises two operating subsidiaries; produces feed-grade chlortetracycline and hydrochloride chlortetracycline;
  • Industrial: comprises three jointly-owned entities; includes the production and sale of motorcycles, carburetors and automotive accessories, as well as sales, rental and repair agency services for Caterpillar products.

Vietnam

CPP became a key player in the fast-growing agri-food markets in Vietnam following its acquisition of a 70.82% stake in C. P. Vietnam Corporation (“CPV”), formerly known as C. P. Vietnam Livestock Corporation, a leading integrated livestock and aquaculture company in Vietnam, on July 29, 2011.

Established in Vietnam in 1993, CPV’s integrated livestock and aquaculture businesses span the entire food production value chain, from the manufacturing and distribution of animal feed, to the breeding and farming of livestock and aquatic animals, and to the processing and production of meat and packaged food products. Owing to its “feed-to-food” vertical integration strategy, CPV commands a leading position in the country’s commercial feed and industrial farming markets.
